A Scottish Country Dance group was first formalized in St. Catharines in 1960. This group became the St. Catharines Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in 1964. Since that time, the branch has offered classes, workshops, dances, and demonstrations of Scottish Country Dancing. At present, the Branch consists of approximately 60 members. Classes for beginners and for experienced dancers are offered weekly. Dances with live music are held in December, February and May. In June, we dance outside in the pavilion in Montebello Park.
